Lovely Brit. Effective shift from third to first person. One point of contention: the bush was NOT consumed by fire—an important theological and symbolic point (at least for the Orthodox). :-)
Yes you are absolutely correct. (It’s an important part for all us Christians I think) Perhaps it wasn’t the best choice of word here. Would love your suggestions for a better replacement. Nevertheless, it’s out in the world now.
Love the start with sandals, Brit. I’ve heard it said that if it’s ever difficult to slow down and take stock spiritually, a good first step is to go around barefoot for awhile.
The music and continual agreement of sound in this one carried me along from stanza to stanza. Really well done, Brit – and the envoy was pure gold. Thanks for this meditation.

Criticism is easier than artistry. Haha! Forgive me. Engulfed? Espoused?
Not bad options. I’ll let it rest as is and maybe next year I can post it again with an update ; )

Wonderful tribute all around.
That’s a wonderful saying. I’m going to have to remember that one.

A beautiful poem for Maundy Thursday. Thank you.
